this bit about zunes turning off and not starting again makes me sad.

Word on the street is that 30GB Zunes are shutting down around the world en masse as they hit midnight on December 31st. … [A] panicked owner says, “Yup, stuck on 100% but it’s out of warranty. What do i do?

SAD!

Sad that my palm m515 that isn’t supported anymore.

Sad that my slightly less old and STILL AMAZING (all caps!) casio p505 (Link to PDF) isn’t supported. there are a few features it is missing from other exlim models before its time, and some things that need tweaking.

if an electronics manufacturer decides to stop supporting a product, they should HAVE to give it up. allow us to continue to make electronics useful, not wasteful. there are many fine examples of the fine things consumers can do. you’ll only gain loyality, guys. your products will only become better, and more popular.

It’s old news, but still a good excuse to get outraged at the US Government if you don’t have a reason handy.

Times New Roman 14, as the State Department put it, “takes up almost exactly the same area on the page as Courier New 12, while offering a crisper, cleaner, more modern look.”

I’m not sold on the change. I’m going to do my best to employ as many of the Courier New 12 font faces as possible in 2009. I hope I can give their life some meaning again.

iova’s lappy now blue screens at boot. le sigh. too bad there isn’t any time to attempt to fix things like this. i suspect strongly that it’s the video card, and that ztronics should have just checked it out like i had asked them too. with the GPU says it’s at 0 degrees C, that’s not true. unless the pc isn’t turned on, hasn’t been in a long while, and the room temp has been 0 C for a while.

it’s oddly over complicated. if i know i want to use a theme, i have to see the live preview, then click activate (which took me two trys to notice, so that was 4 clicks if you’re counting). to publish, i have to click publish, it drops down menu, then i have to click publish. 2 clicks.

other than that, i kind of like wordpress 2 clicks. now, i must investigate the InsertMedia button.
